...Like a very low-key and low-pro version of the Oscars. 

No wins for 'posterius,' but it was interesting to witness the spectacle of it all.

If not first how about runner up, nada, I was a voting and rooting for Posterous and watched it on UStream,was bummed Posterous didn't win.
Oh & wasn't that break music horrible?

The Stanford Mobile Phone Orchestra was... pretty strange.

Okay granted, there were some cool moments, the musical "theater"pieces, but it could 'a used more amplification on the phone Orchestra thing (or better mic technique) .
When putting on these events one would think that renting great sound gear & the hire of attentive sound techs so the honoring of achievements in tech & the candidates would not have been riddled with such variant (sound) levels,, OH & again the break music, it was so ,, loud and horrible. Better luck next year.

Yeah, ustream.tv is pretty cool, but it's still a bit of amateur AV club hour when it comes to taking care of the specifics. Unfortunate.
