Apologies for being out of touch, both posting and reading.  Life is, shall we say...happening right now, but I promise to get caught up when the dust settles!

Burning question: Why do girls tend to demonize their exes, while guys tend to romanticize theirs?

Follow-up: I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that women are often rationalizing the reasons for breaking up long before they actually go through with the breakup.

My coworker's Slanket arrived and I took it for a test drive.  I'm not quite sure if I feel like a queen or a clown.

The cafeteria here has cream of wheat every morning, and this week they have also had Mexican hot chocolate.  I discovered, quite by accident, that mixing the two (maybe in a 3:1 ratio) results in a wonderfully chocolatey, creamy mixture, especially yummy with toasted sliced almonds, a dash of brown sugar, and raisins.

Too cute.  Someone helped me straighten my room and neatly tucked the covers on my bed, with these little guys standing at attention.  Brings a smile to my face.

My coworker, who is perpetually cold and always has a little space heater under her desk and a blanket wrapped around her legs wants just one thing this Christmas: THE SLANKET.  It is a specially designed blanket with SLEEVES.  You know how when you're hunched over a desk and swaddled up in a warm blanket, the biggest problem is that your arms are either stuck in the blanket and you can't do anything, or they are out, and you are cold from the chest up?  The ingenious design of THE SLANKET solves these problems effortlessly!  It's like a giant robe, I guess.  Sure they look stoopid, but I'm sure they are warm, and they have like a 98% satisfaction rating from their customers.

All it takes for me is half a glass of riesling.  -
