Ever tried to drink buttermilk?

With all the leftover buttermilk I have from making pancakes and scones, I thought I'd be all clever and make my own yogurt drink with about two cups of buttermilk, a handful of blueberries, and 2 teaspoons of honey.

Talk about FAIL... it has kind of a refreshing texture but it's way too sour for even me to enjoy.  Anyone have ideas on how to fix it?

These cheddar biscuits seem like a much better use for buttermilk.

i'm sorry for your experiment, i feel/taste awuful for you.
haha yeh, buttermilk is not for drinking. I don't know how to make that into yogurt. Even Alton Brown uses regular milk and yogurt to make more yogurt. You can store buttermilk for a long time cuz it's already cultured. I'd use just keep using it for pancakes, scone, French Toast (which works out very nice after my experiment), or Irish Soda Bread (on my next agenda, i do have a lot of leftover buttermilk too). If you come across anything interesting, let me know too! Good luck Steph.
I've got an awesome buttermilk chocolate cake recipe I can send your way if you want to try it.
gawd i would love to but does anyone have a low-fat buttermilk recipe??
I dare to differ. Cold buttermilk is a refreshing drink in the summertime. It's also good in pancakes.
